Why did my customer's payment get declined?

Payments are generally declined by the cardholder’s issuer bank. Common reasons for declines are typos in the card number, expiration date, or security code. Declines also occur if there are insufficient funds or the account is over the credit limit. The best way to find out why a payment was declined is to have your customer call their bank.
